Big Daddy’s Sliders In The House!

I'm constantly on the lookout for new recipes.  Some of my FAVORITES have come from Food Network.  One of my favorite cooks is Aaron McCargo...aka "Big Daddy" of Big Daddy's House.  LOVE.HIM. I was THRILLED when he won Food Network Star and couldn't wait to see what he'd be cookin' up in the kitchen.   Anywho...I've always wanted to try some of his recipes because they look so mouthwatering delicious on the show.  Since my family was in town recently, I knew that this recipe would be PERFECT to try because seriously...who doesn't like sliders?!  And seriously...we ALL big puffy heart LOVED them!!!!!

SPICY JALAPENO SLIDERS

1 lb. ground beef

2 jalapenos, seeded and finely diced

2 shallots, finely chopped

1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated spicy monterrey jack cheese

Pinch of garlic powder

1 tbsp. kosher salt

1/2 tsp. coarse black pepper

1 cup {8 oz.} sour cream

1/4 cup salsa verde

Dinner rolls

Before you start out, take off your rings because you're hands are about to get greasy.

Now…in a large bowl, add together beef, jalapenos, shallots, panko, heavy cream, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.  Mix together well.  {Ummmm…I couldn’t find SPICY monterrey jack, so I just used regular, but I’m thinking that pepper jack would’ve been AMAZING, too!!!}

Form the mixture into small patties and place on a slightly greased baking sheet {with edges…they get a little greasy!}.  Place in the oven at 350 for about 25-30 minutes, or until center of the patty is no longer pink.

Meanwhile, mix together the salsa verde and sour cream.

I took the buns, buttered the insides, and broiled them until they were a little crispy…not burnt!  Spread the sour cream/salsa verde mix on both the top & bottom buns.

Remove the patties from the oven and place on the bun.  Serve and ENJOY!!!!!!

I genuinely can’t say enough about these sliders!  SO unbelievably good!  Even my crazy family thought so…and that says A LOT!!!!  Mouthwatering for sure :)  If you can’t find shallots, use a small onion instead.  If want a little less kick, remove the seeds in the jalapenos.  I accidentally took out the seeds without thinking and the sliders were still DElicious!

These would be the PERFECT dish to bring to a party!!!  But you might wanna double the batch because these babies will go FAST!!!!!
