Oh Heavens.

SO…I just realized that I’ve been neglecting my sweet little blog. Sadly, she’s taken a backseat to the INSANE amount of preparation it takes to get ready for a new school year! Don’t ever tell a teacher she/he doesn’t work enough because I PROMISE you that they{we} make up for every single “break” in the time we put in after school…with the things we bring home…after school functions…weekends…and back-to-school preparation!!! There were many a late night I spent getting my classroom ready in the weeks before school started…like, midnight kinda nights. But seriously, I love it, so I can’t complain :)

I promise I’ll be back in a few days with some VERY heavenly dishes. Shockingly, I still have time to cook…but the cleaning part, well, not so much ;) I made the yummiest Fettucine Alfredo with broccoli last week {sauce from scratch} and a DElicious Layered Fiesta Taco Bake. OMG…SO YUM!!!! I have about 8 other dishes I’m dying to share, but heck if I didn’t accidentally delete the pictures off my hard drive before realizing what I did! Dangit! New school year means lots of meal planning and I can’t wait to get back in a routine and share some new recipes!!

In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few little pictures of my new “Sassy Hollywood Glam” classroom. I’m teaching First Grade this year and I absolutely ADORE my sweet kids. They.are.PRECIOUS!

  3. Yay for CAFE and Daily 5. I think it's the only way to teach!! I do it in Kindergarten and it's amazing. I had all my Kinder kiddos reading on 1st grade and higher levels by the end of last year and i KNOW it's because of Daily 5 and CAFE.

  6. Wow, what a precious classroom...makes me want to be one of your students! I know how you feel when it comes to setting up your classroom. I taught 1st grade for 5 years before becoming a SAHM and it was always tough. You spend so many hours on it! Great job...I'm sure your kiddos love it!

I have so enjoyed reading your blog (discovered in the last 2 months) and have thoroughly enjoyed the many yummy recipes you have shared and just "learning" more about you. Best of luck in your year and I look forward to continuing reading your blog everyday (or whenever you get it updated)!

  8. LOVE your classroom! I taught 4th grade for one year before staying at home with my 'lil man and even though I'm not going back until my kids are in school, I'm sweating it because I'll be so out of practice! I hope I can someday be a "master" teacher like you! ;)

  12. Amazing. So talented. I would love to know where you teach, because I'm sure it's pretty close to where I live ;) Makes me really want to try to find a teaching job. But it seems so rough out there right now.
