My Kryptonite

Do you have a favorite food that you just can’t say “NO” to?!  My kryptonite is pasta…pasta and bread.  I could eat it for EVERY meal.  It just makes me weak at the a knees!!  {Must be the Italian in me ;)} I LOVE it when I find a good pasta recipe and was THRILLED when Meredith posted this one!  This pasta dish had me at “1 stick of butter”.  I absolutely could NOT get enough!!!  I mean seriously…I think Mr. Spouse was little embarrassed at the quickness in which I shoveled it into my mouth and then moved on to 2nds…& then 3rds.  Add this to your easy, weeknight favorites…you’ll love it!

BAKED SPAGHETTI

16 oz. spaghetti

26 oz. spaghetti sauce  {I used Ragu Robusto…Roasted Garlic}

1 ½ lbs. ground beef {I only used 1 lb.}

1 egg

8 oz. sour cream

1 stick margarine/butter

2-3 cups grated cheddar cheese {I used 2 1/2 cups}

While the spaghetti is cooking, brown the meat.  Drain & return to saucepan and add the spaghetti sauce.

When the spaghetti is cooked, drain & return to pan and add the sour cream and butter.  I sliced the butter so that it would melt faster & more evenly.

I let the pasta cool for about 10-15 minutes and then added the egg.  Stir well!  Now take the pasta mix & pour it into a greased 9x13 baking dish.  Top with ground beef mix & sprinkle with cheese. {I guess I forgot to get a pic of it with the cheese… oops!}

Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly.
