What the Teacher Wore Wednesday

Our last day of school was last Thursday and things have been going full speed ahead since then.  We ended the year with a "WELCOME TO SUMMER" surprise when the boys got home on the last day.  They were so excited.  I filled their Easter baskets with lots of  Dollar Tree goodies...bubbles, water wands, spray chalk, etc.  I'm happy the Easter baskets got some extra play this year ;)

Since then, we've been keeping busy.  I'm not the biggest fan of "busyness".  I like low key days the best.  I like lounging around the house with absolutely nothing to do.  Those are my favorite kind of days.  Today is just that.  I do plan on working while the boys are at basketball camp, but other than that, my feet are staying planted at home.  SO, I'm linking up again with The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.

I ran some errands and went to lunch in this fun little cami dress from Forever 21.  If you can't tell, I love that place.  I can always find something.  I prefer shopping with them online as opposed to in the store because it's so overwhelming.  I love this little dress, but I have to wear a tank under it otherwise I feel a little too exposed :)

My sister's gender reveal party was on Saturday.  We were technically supposed to wear our team colors...either pink or blue...but I was the only one who knew the gender and I didn't want to give the secret away.  SO...I had to wear something neutral.  This is the only thing I own with both pink and blue.  I bought it last year before we went to Vegas thinking I'd wear it a whole lot, but shoo...this is the first time I put it on since then.  I bought a cute tan belt to go with it, but with all the construction going on in our room, I couldn't find it.  So I wore it with my favorite sandals to dress it down a bit.  I remember thinknig this outfit was very "Saturday Night Fever" when I bought it last year, but I love it.

My sister

My best friend and her family came to visit on Sunday and it was the absolute perfect ending to a perfect weekend.  I love this girl like crazy!  #soulsister  We hung around the pool the whole day and tooled around the neighborhood on the golf cart.  It was hot as all get out and the weather called for a comfy romper.  Kara's was absolutely ADORABLE and I didn't ask her where it was from, but it was too cute!  Mine is a linen-blend number that can be dressed up or worn over my swimsuit.  Since we were staying home for the majority of the day, I wore my beloved Reefs...the comfiest flip flops in the history of ever.

And that's about it. Not a lot of dressing up on these lazy summer days!!!  Pretty much perfection in my book!

  1. I love that forever 21 dress!! I feel like it's just so much easier to live in flowy comfy dresses in the summer, for sure! Do you mind me asking how tall you are and what size you're wearing? I'm so short, so I'm always worried a dress will be too long when it's something I order online.

    1. Dresses are the best!!! I'm 5'3 and wearing a small. I figure if the dresses look really short on the models...who are probably pretty tall...then they should be the perfect length for me! If that even makes any sense ;)

  2. I just love the jumpsuit! I'm pretty surprised you haven't worn it more. I still moan over the pineapple print jumpsuit I passed up three Summers ago...*sigh*! Hmmm...I wonder if I could find one lurking on Ebay??? :o)

    1. Thanks Carrie!!! I wear a few different lipglosses that are almost all the same. They're more on the nude(ish) side of the spectrum. My favorites are MAC Lipglass - Boy Bait and then the generic glosses from Ulta. The two I wear are Ulta Brilliant Color #02 and Ulta Super Shiny #17 :)

  5. Love the outfits! I am now convinced I need to get a romper. I am 5-3 as well and have been nervous that I am too short for one but you look soooo cute in them! Random question- if I am going to get my first Kendra Scott rayne necklace, what color would you suggest getting to go with everything? I am debating between the white, magenta, and turquoise!
