It’s Like A Symphony

I know this is a recipe that you’ve probably already tried, but just incase you’ve never been introduced to these yummies, I thought I’d share them with you.  I’ve been making these since Mr. Spouse & I got married.  My mom gave me a Paula Deen cookbook back in the day and when I found this recipe, I couldn’t wait to try it!  They’ve been a hit ever since!!  They remind me of my first born.  About 3 weeks after he graced us with his presence, my mother-in-law, father-in-law, and Mr. Spouse’s Aunt all came to visit and I’m pretty sure that in the very short week that they were here, we made…and ate… 5 different batches!!  We couldn’t stop eating them!  And let’s face it, post pregnancy weight loss was NOwhere close to being in sight :)

SYMPHONY BROWNIES

1 pkg. brownie mix {I like to use Pillsbury, but any brownie mix will do!}

3 symphony bars {with or without almonds}

Line a 13x9 pan with foil and grease with cooking spray.  Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.  Evenly spread half of the brownie mix on the bottom of the pan.

Remove the symphony bars from the package and place on top of the brownie mix.

Now evenly spread the remaining brownie mix on top of the symphony bars.

Bake according to package directions then remove and let cool.  Cut brownies and ENJOY!!!!

These seriously stand NO chance lasting more than a day in our house.  They are outta this WORLD!  I made this batch with the blue symphony bars {almonds}, but I prefer the red symphony bars {without almonds}.  Either way, they are AMAZING and you can’t go wrong no matter which bar you choose!!!  YUM SCRUM!

  5. I have a friend who makes these with Reese's peanut butter cups in the middle. She found some of those really big ones about the size of the Symphony bars. It's a great variation. Thanks for the recipes, but I love your first grade blog even more!
