**Dreamy**

When I found this recipe, I knew I had to try it immediately.  Any recipe with the words “dream” and “gooey” in the title has to be good, right?!  Take my word for it people…this dessert is DANG dreamy.  And just in time for Thanksgiving :)  You need to whip this up and wow your dinner guests…I can guarantee they’ll be thankful for it ;)

GOOEY COCONUT DREAM BARS

20 graham crackers {2 sleeves}

1 1/2 sticks butter, melted

1/4 tsp. salt

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

2 cups sweetened flaked coconut

1 1/2 cans sweetened condensed milk

Crush graham crackers and mix with salt & melted butter.  My food processor is broken, so I tossed the crackers into a jumbo ziplock baggie and crushed them with a rolling pin.

Grease a 9x13 baking pan and press the graham cracker mix evenly into the bottom of the pan.

Mix the coconut flakes & chocolate chips together and spread over the graham cracker crust.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the coconut & chocolate chips.  The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cans and that’s just how much I used!  I tried to make sure I covered in all the gaps so that everything was smothered with the milk.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.  I forgot to take a pic of these babies fresh outta the oven, so here they are in all their glory about halfway GONE!

SO very dreamy!!

If you’re not a big fan of coconut, don’t let this recipe scare you off!  Even though there are two cups of coconut flakes, the flavor doesn’t scream coconut.  It’s more chocolatey than anything!!  But being the coconut lover that I am, this dessert is right up my alley!  And putting chocolate and coconut together?!  Forget about it!!!  Dreamy for sure!
