DIY Ornaments

For this year’s playgroup Christmas party, I wanted to make something special for Landon’s little buds.  I had a million different ideas, but NO time for any of them!!  HA!!!  SO, I decided that ornaments would be PERFECT!!!  Plus, I really wanted to use my Cyber Monday gift {to myself} and this was the perfect excuse to do it!

Y’all.  I’ve had my eye on the Cricut Expression for about, oh, FOREVER!!  But these bad boys are NOT cheap!  Thanks to the great deals on cyber Monday, I was able to score one for myself at a ridiculously LOW price.  There’s nothin’ I love better than a good deal!

I decided on initial ornaments for the boys, so I cut out each of their first initials with vinyl using my Cricut.

I also cut out cute little designs to decorate the ornaments.  Then I added some fun & frivolous ribbon and VOILA!  A sweet little keepsake!!!

I found these PRECIOUS little tin buckets at Michael’s in the $1 bins and knew they’d be perfect!  Good deals all the way around!

I made a couple for Grant & Landon too and I absolutely LOVE them!!  They’re so simple & sweet.  The perfect little addition to our Christmas tree :)

  7. Okay I know this post is old but I just started following you and I saw your post about buying your Cricut. I want to buy one but there are so many different options. Can you tell me what you have purchased and use the most? I will be using it mostly for home decor and gifts. Thanks so much. You can email me or comment on my blog, I just started blogging so there isn't a lot to it.

  8. Love this idea! How did you stick the letters to the ornaments? Did you use glue, tape?
