I worked at an El Chico restaurant right out of high school (uh, a long long time ago) and I adored their taco salads but ONLY with Thousand Island dressing on it, period! My Mom gave me her recipe for Thousand Island and now I can not make your recipe fast enough ÜTracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17218072884107446797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8623073248513759374.post-40310094511037695782013-11-03T19:22:53.296-08:002013-11-03T19:22:53.296-08:00You know what else makes a good Mexican dressing? ...You know what else makes a good Mexican dressing? When my mom made it she used to mix in generous amounts of Catalina dressing...which I do not like. I'm not the biggest fan if TI either but I like it better than Catalina. Maybe if I spiced it up-but when I made it for myself I just used hot or medium instead of mild salsa just give it kick and serve with sour cream on top.Allie H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08399693962297366342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8623073248513759374.post-58533477715419378982011-07-11T22:15:33.701-07:002011-07-11T22:15:33.701-07:00I love this version from my sister...a big hit in ...I love this version from my sister...a big hit in our house!
1 bag Ready Pac Romaine lettuce -easy!
1# ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (I use Lawrys)
1 c. shredded sharp cheddar
1 can medium-size pitted black olives
3-4 Roma tomatoes-cut in bite-size portions and blot dry
4 green onions-diced
2 handfuls salt-free tortilla chips
1-2 avocados-diced
Kraft fat free Catalina dressing

Directions:
1.
